Owner and Chef of the Have Smoke Will Travel, Andy Balint has been involved in the food industry his whole life. Andy grew up helping his father run the family grocery market, Balint Market established in 1949. From these roots, Andy went on to become a graduate of Prestigious American Culinary Federation, a graduate of B.C.A. Culinary, Pittsburgh Chapter and continues to teach for Culinary Arts Program at Community College of Allegheny County. Through out his career, Andy has been a fun-spirited chef, who is always striving to perfect his craft and his menu!

Andy strives to add culinary elements from his world travels into his menu to keep items fresh and exciting! You may recognize menu items from his favorite places to travel, New Orleans, Philadelphia, and the Great North West! All the while, Andy loves to bring in local flavors to his menus. On any given day you can find him or one of his staff preparing for events by shopping at the produce yards in the "Strip District" of Pittsburgh.
